Top 8 Things To Do When Stuck Inside

When you are a kid, you don’t realize how bad nursery rhymes are. Poor old man..

I live in Alabama where it rains a lot. When it rains in Alabama, it pours.

So I am always stuck inside which can be a bummer. Since it’s raining today, I decided to make a list of fun things you can do when it rains. 

This list includes things other than watching tv and playing video games :0 Shocking you can do other things than that, I know. Some of these ideas you can do alone and some you may want to find a partner.

Things to do when stuck inside

Play Cards 

Cards are a great thing to keep around for when things get boring. They are inexpensive and available at most stores

You can also play cards alone

Play a Drinking Game

Make sure you are old enough. Drink every time someone loses at cards. 

Those who are underage can play by taking a sip of water when they lose. 

If you are alone during a thunderstorm then drink every time you heard thunder or see lightning. 

Take a Nap

  I love sleeping with the sound of rain. It passes the time and is peaceful

Play a Board Game

  Ha get it board game because you play when you are bored ?? Yes I know I already said cards but clearly cards and board games are different as one involves boards and the other does not

Play a quick game of Trouble or a long game of Monopoly. Anything to pass the time. 

Play A Word Game

   
  How many different words can you find in the word Rainbow? I can name 4 off the top of my head.

Then think of other words that are like rainstorms like thunderstorms and do the same for those. These games make you think and can be played alone. 

Try to find some longer, more difficult words to use that way it will last twice as long. Or you can even use sentences- Rain is boring I want to play. 

Write

You can write what you would rather be doing than being bored, a poem about the rain or even a story. 

The world is up to you.

Bake

 Something that you have never made before and always wanted to try. Something that will make you feel better. 

I love baking brownies when it rains. They are warm so they are good for the cold. Not to mention that they taste delicious

Indoor Picnic

Take that food that you just baked and lay a blanket on the floor. Grab your finest alcohol drink or a glass of water. Enjoy a little picnic in your house. 

Throw on some nice romantic or soft music to set the mood.

So there you have just a few things to do when you are stuck inside. I love staying indoors but some people do get tired of it really quickly especially if you had plans.
